I love that spring is near, and I can smell it already! The blooming of flowers, the warmth (kinda) of the sun, and the sound of the many outdoor activities ready to take off on the streets.
This also means less thick coats, and more dresses, AND more colours! And I am proposing three new things to try this spring, and they are all to do with colours – Bold but chic.
So why not try:
1) A Different Colour of Nail Polish
Don’t you love the look of well-polished finger nails as you type on your keyboard? I have to admit, sometimes I paint my nails just so I can get the pleasure of seeing them as I use my hands all day. So, instead of going for the normal red, purple or nude tones, why not try a bold green, or a dusty brown tone this spring?
2) Temporary Hair Colour
I am not one to like permanent anything on my body or hair. I like to know I have the safety to turn back when hell breaks loose. This is why I love the L’oreal Liquid Chalk Temporary Intense Hair. It adds colours to your hair, from realistic colours like brown and red to splashes of bold colours like blue and purple. The best thing is that it looks great, it doesn’t stain and it lasts one – two washes.
3) A Different Colour of Shoes
Often we go for the black or beige/brown colour pair of shoes because, let’s face it, we have too many clothes, and we cannot match them all. But it’s 2016, and not everything has to match. Having a colour splash is more than ok. Why not try buying blue shoes with a subtle tone – I assure you it will go with most of your outfits. Or even a subtle orange?
The keyword here is subtlety, because bright colours can come out looking garish – but subtle colour tones come out looking chic.
These three new things to try this spring are on my list. What are on yours? Let me know in the comments below.
